Suitcases and Bags Wanted

From now until Thanksgiving 2011, we are collecting your old or new suitcases/bags to donate to Suncoast Voices For Children. Suncoast Voices For Children http://www.suncoastchildren.org/index.html Suncoast Voices for Children was founded in 2004 by a group of concerned child advocates, many of whom were volunteer Guardians ad Litem (GALs). They saw that the vulnerable
children involved in the dependency system had many unmet needs and wanted to assist them. They are the only non profit who works on the front end to help keep children out of the Dependency system. To accomplish this they work with the Sheriff’s Department Child Protection Investigators to provide items necessary to keep children from entering Foster Care. Sometimes simply providing a child a bed will keep them in a stable home. Once children have been removed from their home and are in the ‘System’, they work with their Case Manager and Guardian ad Litem to make meet their needs. When these children are removed, many leave home with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Some children removed from their homes are cared for my non-relatives who receive no State funds. For children that aren’t placed right away, sometimes their bag and belongings in it is all that they have for a while. We want to make sure that we donate as many as possible. Top Three Reasons Dr.’s Receive Citations

This is straight from an employee at OSHA. The Top Three Reasons that doctor offices receive a citation upon inspection are:

Medical Services i.e. first aid kits, protective equipment, overuse of extension cords, no ground fault service interrupters.
Hazard communication sheets are missing. Last but not least,
Exposure Control Plan is generic. This cannot just be purchased and put on a shelf. It must be practice specific. Review yours today. Make sure it is reviewed annually.
